Non surgical treatment
Procedures And Treatments
As an orthopedic surgeon, I offer a comprehensive range of non surgical treatments to address a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. These evidence-based interventions are designed to alleviate symptoms, promote healing, and improve overall bone and joint health without the need for invasive procedures. Here are some of the key conditions that can be effectively managed with medical treatments:
Orthopedic treatment - Non surgical options

Non Surgical Treatment For
Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Diseases:
For patients with low bone density, increased fracture risk, or conditions like Paget’s disease, I prescribe medications that inhibit bone loss, stimulate new bone formation, or regulate bone metabolism, helping to strengthen bones and prevent fractures.

Non Surgical Treatment For
Rheumatoid Arthritis and Autoimmune Disorders:
Rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders can lead to joint inflammation, pain, and damage. I prescribe disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologic agents, and immunosuppressants to suppress the overactive immune system and slow the progression of joint damage. Treatment of inflammatory conditions is carried out in coordination with rheumatologist.

Non Surgical Treatment For
Osteoarthritis and Degenerative Joint Diseases:
In cases of mild to moderate osteoarthritis or other degenerative joint diseases, where cartilage degeneration causes joint pain, stiffness, and limited mobility, I offer injectable treatments like viscosupplementation, corticosteroids, and hyaluronic acid to lubricate the joints, reduce inflammation, and improve mobility.

Non Surgical Treatment For
Tendinopathies and Overuse Injuries:
For chronic tendon injuries, tendinitis, or overuse conditions like tennis elbow or runner’s knee, I may recommend regenerative medicine treatments like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, which can promote healing and tissue regeneration in damaged tendons and joints.

Non Surgical Treatment For
Avascular Necrosis (AVN) and Osteonecrosis:
AVN, or osteonecrosis, is a condition where bone tissue dies due to disrupted blood supply. To halt progression and preserve bone integrity, I prescribe medications that inhibit bone resorption, maintain bone density, and improve blood flow. The success of medical treatment in this condition depends upon the stage of presentation to the clinic.

Non Surgical Treatment For
Fractures and Trauma:
While some fractures may require surgery, I also offer non-surgical treatments for certain types of fractures, such as immobilization with casts or braces, allowing the bone to heal properly. I also manage soft tissue injuries and sprains with appropriate medications and rehabilitation protocols.
For conditions like herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or degenerative disc disease, I may prescribe medications like anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, or epidural steroid injections to alleviate pain and improve mobility before considering surgical options.

Non Surgical Treatment For
Pediatric Orthopedic Conditions:
I provide medical management for various pediatric orthopedic conditions, such as developmental dysplasia of the hip, clubfoot, or growth plate injuries, using braces, casts, or other non-surgical interventions to correct deformities and promote proper growth and development.
In addition to these specific conditions, I also incorporate physical therapy, rehabilitation programs, and lifestyle modifications as complementary medical treatments to aid in the recovery process and prevent further complications.
Throughout the treatment process, I closely monitor my patients’ progress and adjust the medical regimen as needed, ensuring optimal management of their musculoskeletal conditions. The goal of these non-surgical, medical treatments is to provide evidence-based interventions that alleviate symptoms, slow disease progression, and improve overall bone and joint health, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for my patients.
